Interlocking Metal Shingle Roofing
Painted steel shingles that lock on all four sides. Slate or shake looks with metal performance — and fewer installers who do it right.
Stone-Coated Steel Roofing
Steel panels with a stone-granule finish that look like asphalt, shake or tile. Popular for the familiar look; I am careful where I recommend them.
Exposed Fastener Metal Roofing
Screw-down panels — the lowest-cost metal roof. Proven, simple, and it asks for maintenance every year. Not below 4/12 on our jobs.

The same order, every time: what the system is, what it does well, where it commonly fails, who it fits, and who it does not. No system is universally good or bad. Exposed-fastener panels are a fair trade for some homes and a bad one for others; a mechanically seamed standing seam roof costs more and asks far less of you later. What we will tell you on the first call
Whether metal makes sense for your house at all. What the pitch and the details allow. Roughly what drives the price up or down — before anyone drives out. We do not take standalone repair work; if the leak is one bad detail on an otherwise sound roof, we will say so and point you to a repair contractor. If the roof is an aging screw-down system losing washers across the whole field, or asphalt at the end of its life, that is a replacement conversation and we can have it.
Who we are built for
Homeowners who think in decades, who have watched neighbors re-roof twice, and who want to make this decision once. The roofs we install cost more up front than asphalt and more than screw-down metal. If the goal is the lowest number that passes an inspection, we are probably not the right fit — and we would rather say that here than waste your afternoon.
